John William Anderson, V, 49, died Monday, May 11, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, he worked as a self-employed mechanic. He loved animals and auto racing, both Langley Speedway and NASCAR. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Preceded in death by his parents, Anna and John W. Anderson, IV and a brother, Robert Scott Anderson; survivors include his siblings, Patricia Watlet, Teresa Miller, Paul Edward Anderson, Paula Hines, and Michael J. Anderson; his fiancée, Francine L. Brown; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2015 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
