Joan Dee Woodcock of Hampton, Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 15, 2016. She was born in Dunn, North Carolina to her late parents Levander and Isky Jane Moore. Her family relocated to Hampton when she was a young girl.  Known to many as "Joany" or "Joan Dee", she enjoyed having fun with friends. She was gifted in interior decorating and gardening.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, George Woodcock of Hampton and a brother, Charles Hargrove of Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Survivors include her son, Graham Woodcock of Hampton and a sister, Ernestine Hargrove Ennis Kinston, North Carolina; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at 1 PM Saturday, September 24 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a service beginning at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
