Jerry Stedman, 69 of Hampton, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 12th at Riverside Hospital following respiratory complications.
He was born to George and Eileen Stedman in Somerset, Kentucky on March 19, 1948. Jerry was a civil service employee at Ft. Monroe and later Ft. Eustis from 1989 until his retirement. He enjoyed yoga, reading, baking, cooking, gaming, travel, and spending time with his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Jenny Campbell (Ken), son Jeremy (Stephanie), and his granddaughters Jessica and Isabella. Also surviving him are his sister Kathy (Bill), brother Charlie (Theresa), a niece, and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother George, and his grandparents.
His wishes were to be cremated and that there be no local services.
