Jean C. Gunter, born April 22, 1941, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Born in Bedford, Virginia, she was a resident of the Tidewater area for most of her life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. As a home maker she spent most of her life caring for her family and loved ones. She loved working in her yard and garden. She will be dearly missed by all who were touched by her beautiful spirit. Waiting for her in Heaven is her beloved husband of 34 years, Kyle H. Gunter. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Vincent. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Horton; husband Eric, of Poquoson, sons, Edward Vincent, wife Sherry, of Smithfield; Thomas Vincent, fiancé Lisa of Gloucester; Gary Vincent, wife Julie, of Hampton; brother, C. E. Johnson of Hampton, grandchildren, Krystal Vincent, Shelby Horton, Eric Horton, Jr. and Abigayle Horton.
