Jean Glenn, born January 6th, 1940, in Massachusetts, passed away on October 20th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith.
Jean was a loving and caring woman who would do anything for anyone. She had a heart for helping others, was a wonderful friend, and loved her family more than words could truly describe. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life and she was deeply involved in her church community at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Jean especially enjoyed volunteering with the Young at Heart program, assisting the elderly and offering her time and compassion to others. She had a deep love for animals and a heart that had kindness to all living things. Helping others was important to her and her generosity will not be forgotten.
Above all, Jean treasured her family. She leaves behind many memories, a lifetime of love, and an example of her compassion that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Glenn; her son, Jack Jenkins; her mother, Lucille Waters; and her father, John Waters.
She is survived by her son, Donnie Nettles; her daughter, Holly Boone, and son-in-law David Boone; and her daughter-in-law, Fran Jenkins. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Carrie Battista, Kelley Grasser and her husband, James Grasser, Dayne Nettles, and Skylar Nettles; and her great-grandchildren, Valentino Battista and Antonio Battista. Jean will also be lovingly remembered by her special niece, Theresa White, and her husband Gene White; her special nephew, Ricky Ulrich, and his wife, Melanie Ulrich; and her godson, Christopher Reece, along with extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
Jean will be deeply missed but her kindness and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through every act of kindness she inspired and every memory held close by the people who loved her.
The family wanted to say a special thank you to Faye Boninu and Marilyn Aldrich for always lending a helping hend, showing so much kindness, and being wonderful friends to Jean. Your love, friendship, and support will always be appreciated.
A Memorial Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 o’clock on Thursday, November 5th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.
