Jason Robert Waggoner, 44, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Born in Portsmouth, he was a lifelong Tidewater resident and has worked for many years as a cook and roundsman for the Hampton Roads Convention Center and Embassy Suites. He loved cooking and walking on the beach.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Waggoner; his parents, Lona and Robert Waggoner; his grandfather, Alfred Waggoner; his sister, Jennica Waggoner; his niece, Cayla Waggoner; three nephews, Jacob, Justin, and David Walker; a great-nephew, Rowen Ployd; and a great-niece, Esmé Ployd.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
