Jason Jerome Stumpf passed from this world February 15, 2026 at 47 years of age in Hampton, Virginia. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 28, 1978. Jason loved to read and was rarely without a book. He enjoyed working with his hands and worked in building maintenance and renovation most of his life. He would proudly tell you, "If it is in your house, I can fix it." Jason showed kindness to those in need, shared when he could, and was glad to provide a helping hand if he was able. He touched many hearts and was loved more than he knew.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl McPherson; grandparents, Anita Stumpf, Peggy Collinsworth, Thomas Collinsworth, Jerry King, and Judy King-Norton. He is survived by his father, Dale Stumpf (Kathy); grandfather C. Robert Stumpf; siblings Mary McPherson, Max McPherson, Christopher Stumpf, and Emily Winn (Tyler); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2510 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666 with a reception to follow in the church social hall.
