With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Jane Arlene Willett Crosby. She was born to Jesse C. Willett and Dorothy Lea Brady Willett, and was a lifelong resident of Phoebus. Known as Nee Nee and Nee Nee Pie to those who loved her, she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her amazing cooking, especially her chocolate and lemon meringue pies. Jane was a talented seamstress and loved sewing for herself and her family. Later in life she found a love for floral design and worked at Bert's Flower Shop until she retired. She was an avid volunteer and a past president of the police alumni association.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Leonard  W. Crosby; her parents, Jesse and Dorothy Willett; and her brothers, Jack Willett, Buddy Willett, and Sonny Willett. She is survived by her children, Linda Rhodes (Chuck) and James Crosby (Mary); sister, Ellen Wilkinson (John); brother, Jesse Willett; grandchildren, Michael Rhodes (Jamie), David Rhodes, Ryan Crosby (Shelaine), Jacob Crosby, Kaitlynne Crosby (Dakota McGill), Cole Crosby; great-grandchildren, Kendell Rhodes and Scarlet McGill; and her dog Bear Bear. She will truly be missed by her loved ones, many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 10AM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Park will follow immediately after the service. Celebration of life will follow at the Hampton Moose lodge
