James W. Moore, 68 of Hampton went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2015. "Jimmy" was a native of Fox Hill and a graduate of Kecoughtan High School. He attended electronics school and then went on to work for Newport News Shipbuilding where he worked for 39 years. He was a man of deep faith and an active member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church where he enjoyed attending the Men's Sunday School class. He enjoyed trips with his wife and close friends. Jimmy was a kind, gentle man who always put his family first. He was a wonderful husband, father, papa and friend. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Peggy Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Judy Moore; and grandson, Chase Moore; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Jeffrey McGonigle; and grandson, Logan Duncan; and step-grandchildren, Jarred and Carli McGonigle; and many cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church by Rev. Eric J. Vaudt. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
