James "Mac" McNeely, 81, departed life on August 21, 2017 peacefully in his sleep. Born in Boomer, WV on July 24, 1936, he served in the US Army and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his mother, Malla Wolfe and a brother, Jack McNeely both of WV; he is survived by a sister, Sandra Jean Nelson of WV; his wife of 59 years, Betty L. McNeely; four children and their significant others, James McNeely, II (Carol), Raymond McNeely, A. Faye Seay (Mark), and Kimberly Cinnamon (Larry); nine grandchildren, Nicole Hines, Joshua Minthorn, Andrew, Melissa and Megan Cinnamon, Amber Tubbs, Raymond McNeely, Jr., Ashley Coomer, and Teresa Garrison; and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Thursday, August 24, 2017 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a funeral beginning at 2pm with Pastor Robert Wilson and Sam Hyde, Jr. officiating.
