IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James E.
Deaver
January 25, 1943 – November 22, 2018
James E. Deaver. 75, of Hampton, Virginia, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 22, 2018 while resting at home with his family by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 57 years, Susan (Moody) Deaver, his children Greg (and Marcia) Deaver and Tammy (and Brian) Northrup, his grandchildren Derek (and Amanda), Daniel (and Shawn), Charles and Brandon, and his great-grandchildren Cameron, Seth and Leland.
He was born to the late James O. and Edna C. Deaver in Ronceverte, West Virginia on January 25, 1943. He was the oldest of two children, being survived by his sister Linda Jones.
After beginning their life together in Lewisburg, West,Virginia, James, Susan and family moved to Lynchburg, then Martinsville and eventually settling in Hampton, Virginia where they made their home since 1982.
He started his career of 35 years with Pet Dairy in Lynchburg, then retiring from Pet Dairy in Hampton. During his tenure in management, he developed a love for golf sometimes playing with his golfing buddies 6 and 7 days a week. And when friends came to visit you could always find the PGA on the tv screen. He loved his Dallas Cowboys football team and on most fall Sundays, his family would gather around the tv to watch them. Being from West Virginia, he loved his U of WVa Mountaineers and proudly displayed his many U of WVa shirts, hats and car magnet.
James loved his family dearly and was adored by many friends and neighbors, especially Bob Carmon and Georgia Alexander.
A visitation service to receive friends and family will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 5pm to 6:30pm at the Berceuse Funeral Home, 2609 Cunningham Drive in Hampton, Virginia.
