James Bruce Babcock, 69 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Born in Japan to parents James and Dawn Babcock, he was a lifelong Hampton resident.  Jimmy proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp and went on to retire from Hot Stuff Sport Fishing and Custom Charters as the Owner and Boat Captain.    He was a natural caregiver and gave of himself, especially when taking care of those he loved to include his wife Clara, and other family members through the years.

Preceded in death by his parents, his step-daughters, Susan Powell and Jennifer Salder; and his brother-in-law, Raymond Vigeant; he leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Clara Babcock; sister, Leslie Young and her husband John; nephews, Benjamin Cuartas (Valerie) and A J Young (Carrie); nieces, Nicole Young and Shelby Young; many great nieces and nephews; step- granddaughters Olivia Hines and Lucy Smith;  numerous step-great-grandchildren; and dear friends Cindy and John and Ray.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jimmy's name to a charity of your choice.
