Jacqueline Marie Askew, 60, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, PA she had been a Newport News resident since 1980. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Jenniffer Roberson and Julie Askew; sisters, Debbie Rompot, Sandra Smith and Bobbie Jo Hutchinson; brother, Joe Schlegel; granddaughters, Kenzie and Riley; Sparky and the entire Askew family. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30-2:30 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
