Jack "Mike" Rickel, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Tuesday December 15, 2015. Mike was born on May 12, 1945 in Kansas. Mike enlisted in the US Navy in 1962, and retired as a Lt. Cmdr after 23 years of dedicated service. In later years Mike enjoyed traveling, football, and Rush Limbaugh, but most of all he loved being a grandfather. Mike will live on in the memory of his family. Survivors include his wife, Kim Yong Waldron; sister, Kathy Lynn Allen; sons, Michel Shane and wife Sonya, son Matthew Christopher and wife Rose and their children Paxton and Olivia; stepchildren, Steven Waldron and wife Tonya and their children Gabriel, Nathaniel, and Makayla, K.L Waldron and fiancé Melissa and grand-puppy Klynn; former wife and mother of his two sons, Sharon Rickel. A small family gathering will take place at a later date to celebrate his life. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
