Jack Eugene Neal Jr., died December 29, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he was a jack of all trades and had worked as a drywall contractor. Jack gave his life to Jesus Christ in 2010 and his faith never waivered during his battle with cancer. He had been the president of the United Methodist Men as well a church trustee at Phoebus United Methodist Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his sister Eugenia Schaffer. Survivors include his loving wife, Joanne Neal; mother, Ida Armel; children, Corey Preston, Matthew Preston, Daniel Neal, Jennifer Upton, and Jeremiah Neal; sisters, Catherine Neal and Patricia Neal; grandchildren, Cody Upton, Alexis Upton, Bryson Upton, Harlow Neal, Alyssa Preston, Hunter Preston, and Tristan Preston.
The family will receive friends at Phoebus United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 1-2PM. A funeral service will follow at 2PM at the church. Following the interment the family invites friends to return to the church for a reception.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Phoebus United Methodist Church in Jack's memory.
