Iris E. VanDyne entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 18, 2018.  Born on November 1, 1951 to Dorothy and Alfred VanDyne, she was the third born of four sisters and one brother.  Three sisters preceded her in death.

Iris graduated from Huntington High School in Newport News, in 1969.  She furthered her education at Thomas Nelson Community College and graduated in 1971.  She then started her career at Riverside Hospital where she worked for 13 years and continued her career at Sentara Health Systems until she retired in May of 2018.

Iris leaves to mourn her death, two brothers, Timothy and Alfred; her life partner Ellsworth Wooden; cousins, nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.

A homegoing service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
