Idella Paulette Jones, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2013. A lifelong resident of the Peninsula, she graduated from the former Phoenix High School in Hampton and worked 37 years as a chef at the Langley Air Force Base Officers Club.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her son, Roland Jones. She is survived by her sons, B. Alexander Jones of Springdale, MD, Vincent N. Jones and Lorenzo Jones, both of Newport News; four brothers; five sisters; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and special friend of 13 years Milton Denson.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday at MT. Carmel Pentecostal Church of Deliverance, 301 Blair Ave in Newport News.
