Ida Teresa Hollins, 69, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born in Honduras, she has been a resident of Hampton for 10 years. She retired from Verizon as a Senior Systems Analyst in 1995 after 30 years. Ida was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Ramirez and brother, Edgar Drew. She is survived by her husband, Jerome Hollins; children, James Anthony Myrick, Carmen Robinson and Maggie Myrick; sisters, Esperanza Gaines and Evita Bradley; brothers, Ernest Drew and Edwin Drew; grandmother, Maggie Ann Drew; grandchildren, Bernard Robinson and Terren Page and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Allen, Asia, and Amare. A service to celebrated Ida's life will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 5, 2014, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
