Hunter (Buddy) Clarke, 81, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Consulate Healthcare of Windsor. Born in Richmond, VA, he served in the military in the early 1950's. Hunter (Buddy) was a musician and the owner/conductor of The Buddy Clarke Orchestra for 52 years while living in Jacksonville, FL and returning to Hampton in 1990. His love of the big band music was always close to his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hunter F. Clarke, Sr., and Mary Mahone, also his sister, Jean Clarke Speight, and beloved cat Rocky. He is survived by a son, Hunter Lee Wayman, Hampton, VA and three daughters, Constance Scott, Houma, LA, Cathy Harris, Florida and Carol Wilson, CA. He will be sadly missed by longtime friend, Sylvia Caldwell and cat Lucky Noel. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
