Hubert Lee Smith, 77, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. Born in North Carolina, he has been a resident of Hampton since 1967. He was a security guard at Sunset Marina for twenty years, the superintendent of grounds maintenance at Gardner's Trailer Court for thirteen years, and also a waterman who loved crabbing.

Hubert was a religious man, extremely hard working and dedicated. He will be remembered by his strict values and love for the Lord. Many will remember him for his love of gardening.
