Hubert A. "Andy" Jones, 83, died Thursday, August 5, 2021. Born in Goldsboro, NC, he had been an area resident since 1955. He was a faithful member of Faith Community Church. He retired from the Newport News Shipyard after 39 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and was a very handy jack of all trades.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Lee Jones, his sisters, Margaret Ballard and Bonnie Creech, and his brothers, Robert C., Earl, and Arville Jones. Survivors include his wife, Millie K. Jones; three children, David Andrew Jones, Sherry Pruitt (David), and Daryl Ray Jones; two sisters, Mildred Presley and Judy Peterson; two brothers, Ernest Jones and David Lee Jones; five grandchildren, Nicole Woodford, Justin Justis, Janie D'Amico, Andrea Bowman, and Mandy Jones; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park and may be watched live on the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home Facebook page.
