Howard Burton Hogge, Jr., 86, died Sunday, January 13, 2018. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he retired from Newport News Shipbuilding. Howard had served in the US Air Force, was a member of First United Methodist Church Fox Hill and attended the United Methodist Men. He was also an avid bowler.

Howard is survived by his wife, Mary Plum Hogge; daughter, Katherine Lee Coffey; and son, Kenneth Edward Hogge.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 18, 2019 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home 245 South Armistead Ave, Hampton. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home.
