Hilda J. Berry, 90, died Saturday, October 4, 2014. She was a native and lifelong Hampton Roads resident and member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed Crafts, sewing, crocheting, tatting, ceramics, doll making, gardening and canning, and just being outdoors. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Berry, Jr., her son, Robert M. Corbett, her sister, Barbara Wallace, and her brother, Elroy Johnson; survivors include her daughter, Joyce A. Martin; a sister, Phyllis Dellisanti; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Faith Freewill Baptist Church, 16053 Carrollton Blvd., Carrollton by Rev. Richard G. Barnes. Interment will follow at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. State Veterans' Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends from 6-7PM Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
