Helena L. Cooper passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023 at the age of 98. Helena was one of six sisters and was born on July 16, 1925 in Blackey, KY. She loved to care for others and worked as an Aide at Dixie Hospital and Shelton on the Bay Assisted Living Home. Helena loved to listen to country music and whenever you walked into her home you could hear country music playing and her singing her favorite tunes.

Helena was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cooper; daughter, Delores Stokes; and daughter-in-law, Glenda Jones. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Cooper (Linda) of Hampton and Larry Jones of Alabama; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1PM at Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
