Helen Phillips Spencer, 90, died Friday, February 10, 2023. Born in Phoebus, she was the last surviving member of the teenagers' club "Cute Little Chicks".  For many years Helen ran a seafood restaurant in Phoebus and worked at Old Point Steak and Spaghetti. She was a 1950 graduate of Hampton High School.

Preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Spencer, two sons, Vonie and Gary Phillips, and three brothers; Helen is survived by her daughter, Susan Hamilton and husband, Rob; her sister, Glenda Beck; her daughter-in-law, Mary Phillips; and her beloved dog, Jack.

At Helen's request there will be no services, but she will be laid to rest with her sons.
