Helen Lowe Speight passed away on August 26, 2022. Born in Whaleyville, VA on February 12, 1918 to Ernest Richard and Cora Raby Lowe, she married and moved to Hampton where she joined First United Church of Christ. She enjoyed being a mom and housewife, a Pink Lady volunteer at Hampton General Hospital, a member of Colonial Place Woman's Club and the Women's Fellowship at her church, and was an avid bridge player. She loved being Granny to her grandkids and great grandkids. Her fried chicken could have put Colonel Sanders out of business.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bruce Wayne Speight and his wife, Hope; her daughter, Paige Speight Nolin; three grandsons, Chad Speight, Cody Hill, and Chase Nolin; and six great-grands, Amelia, Kevin, Sylvan, Wyatt, Tidus, and Reyna. She was preceded in death by her husband, JH Speight; her grandson, Bruce Speight; and four brothers, Arthur, Dan, Clarence, and Raymond Lowe.

There will be a celebration of life graveside service at Parklawn Memorial Park at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 7, 2022.
