Harry Hunter Johnson, Sr. (81) of Hampton, VA. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday September 8 ^th , 2021. He was a hard-working man that enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and working on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay while living his full life in Fox Hill. He deeply loved his family and friends, but most of all he loved his devoted wife of 63 years, Carolyn Virginia Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Harry Jr and wife Suzy, daughter April, 6 grandchildren, Charles, Joey, Chris, James, Michelle and David, and his 5 great grandchildren, Shelby, Jake, Chelsea, Chasity and Allyssa.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton with interment to follow in Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1-2 pm.

Guests will be welcomed at the home of Harry and Suzy, 5 Salt Water Lane in Fox Hill immediately following his burial.
