Harriett Copeland Carter, 89, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018. A lifelong resident of Fox Hill, she was a member of Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and crafts.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Carter; survivors include her children, Linda Morgan and husband, Gary, Nancy Yarrington, Dale Williams and husband, Paul, Edward Carter and wife, Brenda, and Gerald Carter; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8PM Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
