Harold Lloyd Blomberg, 81, died August 1, 2015. Born in Greene Co, NC he had been a Hampton resident since 1956. Harold retired from the Newport News Shipyard as a crane operator in 1995 after 39 years of service. He was an Army veteran and attended Providence Freewill Baptist Church, loved to play the banjo and work with electronics, repairing and building CB radios and televisions. Harold is survived by his wife, Jean Blomberg; daughter, Wanda Elliott and husband, Mike; son, Keith Blomberg and wife, Sarah; and sister, Judy Mooring. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold P. and Fannie Blomberg; sister, Grace; and daughter, Wendy. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Providence Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday at church prior to the service from 6-7:30 PM. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Providence Freewill Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
