Obituary
Herbert Marshall Barnes, III, 59, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2016. Born in Norfolk, he has been a lifelong resident of the Peninsula where he was a local chef.
Herb served in the US Army and was a member of the Hampton Roads Model Club.
Herb was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Marshall Barnes, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Kay P. Barnes; sister Betsy Barnes and brother Geoffrey P. Barnes.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton, 757-723-3191.
