Obituary
Grundello Newsome, age 62, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Born in Detroit, Michigan to Bonnie and Mary Newsome, Grundello was a resident of Hampton for 21 years. After serving 12 years in the U.S. Army, he worked as a machinist for Howmet Corporation in Hampton.
Grundello was predeceased by his daughter, Tamika Goodwin, and his sister, Auderia Newsome. He is survived by his wife, Tonya Newsome; daughter, Maya Newsome; son, Cozell Newsome; brother, Derrick Newsome; sisters, Teresa Cummings and Bonnie Jackson; grandchildren, Tiana Newsome, Tyesha Goodwin, and Isiah Goodwin ; great-grandchildren, Ayvah Anderson and Elii Barney; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, VA 23666. 757-825-8070 www.Berceusefuneralhome.com
