Newport News , Va.- Hampton Roads lost an incredible man on October 29, 2016.  Gregory Pastore, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday , October 29, 2016 surrounded by family and friends after a brief courageous battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Geno and Pauline Tolari and Dan and Rose Pastore.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his life partner Ed Franklin of Norfolk  Va. ,mother Lawada Gabriel of Newport News Va, father and stepmother Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pastore of Pennsylvania , stepfather Frank Gabriel of Newport News Va, brothers Carl and wife Kathleen Pastore of California,  Mitchell Pastore of Raleigh NC, Derek Pastore and partner Penny Smith of Hampton Va, sister Kristy Pastore of Pennsylvania . His beloved Uncle Geno Tolari and wife Lisa of California. His  loving Aunt Ellise of California.  Many loved aunts, uncles , nieces , nephews, and amazing cousins as well as many friends from California to Pennsylvania to Virginia.

Greg graduated from Bethel High School in Hampton , Va in 1982.  He was the epitome of a philanthropist and community leader. He and Ed Franklin have helped countless friends and thousands of less fortunate neighbors throughout the years. Any time anyone needed something , Greg was always the first to step up to offer a hand.....too many times to mention. Greg was the owner of the Donut Dinette in Norfolk for years and helped many through this venture.
Greg you were truly one of a kind and certainly "Did it Your Way," but your way was something we should all aspire to.

Greg was very passionate about his restaurant endeavors including the ownership of the Donut Dinette in Norfolk, Va for years.

A  celebration of life will be held in Gregs honor on his birthday - 1/17/17.

He will be tremendously missed but we all are comforted he is resting in peace.  Until we all meet again, RIP Greg Pastore.
