Graydon Arthur Elliott Jr, 51, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home in Plainfield, NJ. Born at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio on May 10, 1964, Graydon was raised in Hampton and Yorktown, VA and graduated from York High School in 1982. After earning his Bio-Chemistry degree from Virginia Tech in 1987, Graydon spent his career in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked for the FDA, Pfizer and Novartis. During this time he lived in San Diego, CA before setting in Plainfield, NJ in 2002 Graydon was an avid traveler, having visited many nations and cultures throughout the world. Graydon's other interests included music, cooking and gardening. As a devoted animal lover, Graydon will be missed by his two dogs, Katie and Kensie. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Graydon A. Elliott, Sr. of Williamsburg, VA, his sister, Kimberly (Elliott) Stone and her husband Kenneth Stone, of Smithfield, VA. and his partner, Michael Douris of Plainfield, NJ. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 17 at the Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton, conducted by Pastor William Warrick, with a memorial service to be held in Plainfield, NJ at a later date.
