Graydon (Buck) Dale Lynn, Jr. entered eternal life on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the age of 89. The son of Graydon Dale Lynn and Julia Bledsoe Lynn, Gray grew up and spent most of his life in Hampton, VA before moving to Virginia Beach, VA. Gray graduated from Hampton High School and the College of William and Mary where he was co-captain of the Football Team in 1959. He developed lifelong friendships playing football in high school and college, and football helped shape his life and career afterwards. He enjoyed a successful career in real estate that spanned more than 40 years and also built many beautiful homes. He was a member of Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton and Wycliffe Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach later in life.
Gray is predeceased by: first wife, Carole Manley Lynn; wife, Lilah Matteson Lynn; brother, Donald Lee Lynn; and stepsons, Keith and Kevin Field. He is survived by: brother, Thomas Bledsoe Lynn (Marcy); sister-in-law, Mary Horton Lynn; sons, Todd Manley Lynn (Natalie) and David Dale Lynn (Tracy); stepdaughter, Karen Prysock (David); grandchildren, Garret (Laura), Tucker, Emily (Seth), Madison, Lauren, Michael Burris (Kendall), Brandon Prysock (Caitlin), and Scott Field; great-grandchildren, Beau and Sydney and Jeremiah and Avery; nephews, Gregg and Patrick; and nieces, Paige and Kristen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hampton Yacht Club on July 26 at 11am.
