Obituary

Gloria Ann McCallum, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones on April 18th, 2024, on her sixtieth birthday. Gloria was a force of nature who touched the lives of many with her fierce love and unwavering strength.

She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara A. Green, father Walter E. Phillips and brother Walter G. Phillips.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband Paul G. McCallum Sr., daughter Emily A. Martin, and son Paul G. McCallum II., father Harold (Pete) Green, sister Janette Locascio; and brothers Damon Phillips, Charles Wenner, Jerry Wenner, Kevin Green, Kenneth Green, and five grandchildren.

Her most cherished role was that of Nana to her beautiful grandchildren - McKenzie, Olivia, Charlotte, Kennedy & Landon- whose lives were forever enriched by their time together creating treasured memories that will last a lifetime.

Gloria lived a life dedicated to protecting those she held dear - fiercely guarding their happiness with unwavering determination that touched all who knew her deeply. Her passion for learning new crafts filled her days with joy as she explored various artistic pursuits throughout the years and made sure to gift them to everyone.

A devoted dog lover who cherished every moment spent with furry companions at her side – they were more than pets but true members of the family whom she adored unconditionally.

Gloria spent most of her professional life working for Canon before working in telecommunications. She built many friendships through her work life and coaching and cheering on her children throughout their lives.

The impact Gloria had on those around cannot be overstated –she leaves behind an indelible legacy built upon love, compassion, kindness, generosity, resilience, and strength.

A memorial service will be held at R Hayden Smith Funeral Home on April 27th, 2024 at 4:00 PM where friends and family can gather to celebrate Gloria's remarkable life. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Shatterproof, a non-profit organization whose mission is increase access recovery prevention mental health resources for everyone who needs them.
