Glenn Boone, 81, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Born in Chadburn, NC he had been a longtime Hampton resident and had worked 40 years in the appliance repair industry. A member of First United Methodist Church Fox Hill, Glenn served on the building and grounds committee and was a member of the United Methodist Men. He loved fishing, gardening and getting together with family and friends. Glenn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Boone; son, David M. Boone and wife Terry; sister, Alene Berg; sister-in-law, Elsie Boone; grandchildren, Olivia Johnson, Jarred Boone and Jacob Boone; and great grandchildren, Lotus and Lennox. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda B. Bergquist; and brothers, William Edward Boone and Archie K. Boone. The family requests that you come to the service to celebrate Glenn's life, not mourn his death at a Celebration of Life conducted at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at First United Methodist Church Fox Hill, 1 Salt Ponds Rd, Hampton by Rev. Brian K Sixby. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church Fox Hill.
