Glenda Anzio Griffith, 59, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, she worked at Hampton General Hospital and eventually retired from Sentara Careplex Hospital after more than 30 years of service.
She enjoyed gardening and watching and making things grow, but her favorite thing was spending time with the greatest love of her life, her granddaughter, Lucy.
Preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and John Anzio and her brother, Michael Anzio; survivors include her husband of 35 years, Bill Griffith; two daughters, Mallory Griffith and Sherry Griffith (Gary); her granddaughter, Lucy Custis; and three sisters, Marie Vranas, Peggy Springfield, and Anita White.
The family will receive friends from 1-2PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a service beginning at 2PM conducted by Pastor Tom Andrews.
