Gertrud Bang, beloved mother of Raimond (Linda) of Highlands, NY and Charles (Deborah) of Hampton, entered the Church Triumphant on October 15, 2015. A native of Bremerhaven, Germany, she lived in New York, California and Hampton, Virginia. She leaves a legacy of love to her 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. At her request, a private family interment at sea will be held at a later date. Memorials in her honor made be directed to the Memorial Fund of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 250 Fox Hill Rd, Hampton, VA 23669. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
