Geraldine Kadlec, 77, died Saturday, June 3, 2017. Born in Fall River, MA, she had been a Newport News resident for the last 17 years where she was a member of St. Matthews Anglican Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Perry and Jerry Kadlec, her sister, Mary Lou Shepherd, her brothers, Frank and David Kadlec, and her step-brothers, Joseph and John Cabral. Survivors include her partner and caretaker, Valerie A. Rasieleski; her god-child, Edie St. Pierre; her brothers, Stanley, Charles, Richard, Jerry, Christopher and Stephen Kadlec; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Matthews Anglican Catholic Church, 215 Main Street, Newport News. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River, MA.
