Gerald Joseph "Jerry" Romonoski, 81, entered into eternal peace on August 11, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. The youngest of 11 children, he was born Dec. 2, 1932 in Pennsylvania to Frances and Catherine Romonoski. Jerry was a loving and deeply devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and a friend to everyone who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Nancy, his daughters, Debbie Dail (Wayne), Tammy Morgan (Joe), Sandy Dent (Pat), and his son, Gerald Romonoski, Jr. Also left to cherish his memories are his nine grandchildren, Michael, Amy, Matthew, Kayla, Megan, Karollyn, Nicole, Thomas and Roman and three brothers, Joseph, Leonard and William Romonoski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Frances, Peter, Edward, Andrew and George, and his sisters Mildred and Kathryn. Jerry served 21 years in the United States Air Force where he completed two tours in Vietnam and traveled extensively throughout his career to many countries. Upon his retirement, he worked for Sears for 30 years. Jerry was always happiest when he was with his children and grandchildren. He also loved boating, fishing, crabbing and clamming, loved the beach, and loved to travel. He cherished life and lived every day to the fullest. A mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with military honors. Following the liturgy, the family will receive friends at a reception in the church Hall.
