George C. Council, Jr. at 89, ascended to the Lord's golden beach on December 25, 2018.  A life-long resident of Newport News, he retired from Newport News Shipbuilding after 44 years as a Pattern Maker.  He goes to join his beloved wife Judith and son Glenn.  Left to cherish his memory are daughter, Ellen Council-Powell (Phillip Powell) and son, David Council.  May all of his heavenly days be warm and sunny.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
