Gaynell M. Peters, lovingly known as Momma Gail by all her friends and church family, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2020.  Born on July 7, 1936, she was 83 years old when she passed.  She was widowed by her loving husband Johnnie Peters.  She was survived by her son Elmer Mankins of Santa Cruz, CA; her daughter Joy Kathleen Sierra of Porterville, CA; 3 grandsons, David, Christopher, and Richard of CA and several nieces and nephews.

Momma Gail attended Carrollton Holiness Church in Carrollton, VA and was a faithful member.  She was involved in anything the church had going on.  She took on her Pastor, Allen and his wife, Wendy as an adopted daughter and son-in-law.  Over time she was the Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and worked in the Women's ministry. Gail was faithful in the church's food ministry in processing applications, helping to pack food, cooking and preparing for the Touch of Love Food ministry in feeding 200-300 twice each month.  She was the church's official "Tea Maker".  No matter what event we had she made the tea until she got to where she could not lift the pitchers.  Then she would make it and we would put it away for her.  She was a fun spirited person.  She reached out to shut ins sending cards and bulletins weekly.  Her best friends were Pat Catt and Sandra Houston and Ron and Carolyn Ray.  She will certainly be sorely missed, but God has gained another Saint, and for that we are grateful.
