Gary Pride Libby, 78, died Monday, May 26, 2025. Raised in Lovell, Maine, he graduated from Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, ME. He joined the US Air Force, retiring at Langley AFB in 1984 after more than 20 years of service. After retirement, he went to work at McDonald Garden Center where he met his wife of 25 years, Melany Fitzgerald Libby. He loved to travel, especially on cruises, and he adored his grandchildren and his furbabies.

As well as his wife, Gary is survived by his brother, Kent Libby of Palmer, MA; his children, Kristy Cartwright and husband, Ben of Irmo, SC, Julie Zimmerman and husband, Tim of San Diego, CA, Gary K. Libby and wife, Dara of Poquoson, VA, and Carrie Seeley and husband, Jason of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Michele Letzelter Perry of Hampton, VA, stepson, Christopher Letzelter of Poquoson, VA; and eighteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
