Gail Shields White, 64, Hampton, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 after a short illness.  Her father, John H. Shields, Jr. and grandchildren, Samara Tyler and Tayshon Tyler, preceded her in death.

Gail received her early education in the public schools of Hampton, Virginia.  She is a graduate of Pembroke High School.  She received a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Norfolk State University.

Gail had a passion for life, her family and others.  She was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church where she served in various ministries.

Sharing her loss with an abundance of love are her husband, Lonnie White; daughter, Shantae Hollimon (Chris); mother, Virginia Shields; grandsons, Trevon Tyler and Kingston Hollimon; sisters, Linda Shields, Nancy Christian, Darlene Tucker, and Lisa Robinson (Dwan); and brother, Harold Christian.  Gail is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Special appreciation is extended to the staff of Riverside Cancer Center and Hospital.  A Memorial Service will be held at Queen Street North Worship Center, 98 N. Armistead Avenue Hampton, Virginia 23669 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
