Gabriel N. Simon, 22, died Sunday, December 29, 2024. Born in Newport News, he was a lifelong Peninsula resident. Gabe was a very bright and handsome young man with an infectious smile that could brighten your day. He enjoyed music and football and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by both grandmothers, Nancy Collins and Shirley Simon, his uncle, Jason Simon, and a cousin, Gavin Simon; Gabe is survived by his mother, Sarah A. Collins and significant other, JT Fredin; his father, Ronald A. Simon and his wife, Amy; his siblings, Hannah and Mireil Rivera, Ila Ramirez, and Austin Hall and his wife, Skyla; his significant other, Payton Raynor; his paternal grandfather, Ron A. Simon; a special aunt, Lara Rice; a special family member, Eric Rivera, affectionately known as Wooga; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2025, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM.
