Francis C. Dusenberry, 91, died December 17, 2016. Born in Due West, SC he was a graduate of Clemson University and had served in the Army Air Corps flying 36 missions in the B-17 during WWII. Mr. Dusenberry had been a Hampton resident since 1979, retired from the USAF after 30 years of service and then worked with Harrison & Lear Real Estate. He was a master gardener and volunteered with the Virginia Tech Agricultural Extension, was a member of the Phoebus Lions Club and was a huge Clemson Tiger fan.

Mr. Dusenberry is survived by his daughter, Gayle D. Jackson; son, John P. Dusenberry and wife Miriam; grandchildren, Marcus Dusenberry and Meredith Dusenberry; and a great-grandchild, Madilyn.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 am, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Marks United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. The interment will be held at Melrose Cemetery, Abbeville, SC.
