On January 18, 2021 Frances Jones Geouge, loving wife and mother, went home to be with the Lord at age 85.

Frances was born on July 29, 1935 in Hertford County, North Carolina.  She graduated from Ahoskie High School. On November 20, 1954 she married James W. "Bill" Geouge. They raised 3 sons Jimmy, Wayne, and Ronnie in Hampton, Virginia. Frances was a faithful pastor's wife and ministered with her husband at Sharon Baptist Church for over 25 years. She was choir director, served on the hostess committee and over the years played piano, taught Sunday School and led the kitchen crew for numerous vacation Bible schools.

After her husband's retirement, they became faithful members of Corinth Baptist Church in New, Kent County Virginia. Frances was also a long-time cafeteria employee for Hampton City Schools. Frances loved to read, sew, embroider, cook and play the piano. Known for giving her motherly advice, Frances was always ready to listen and advise. With her giving heart, she was always there to give a blessing to someone in need with a sweet smile.

Mama Frances was preceded in death by her father Samuel Jones and her mother Estelle Jones and her oldest son Jimmy Geouge. She is survived by her husband Bill, sons Wayne and Ronnie, grandchildren Adam and Garrett, three great- grandchildren Marlowe Ryan Geouge, Camren Elise and Lucas, brother Hilton Jones and sisters Linda Thompson and Alice Smith.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 25, 2021 from 12-1 pm at Sharon Baptist Church, 2625 N Armistead Ave. Hampton, VA  with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
