Frances Bloxom died on her 70th birthday, April 3, 2019. Born in Bedford, VA, she had been a Hampton resident since 1970. She worked for a number of years for Pentran (which is now HRT) . She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 349 and she loved to play Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie May Dials and Ray R. Dooley, her sister, June Marie Carter, and her husband, Richard E. Bloxom. Survivors include her daughters, Frances Marie Rose (Chris), Rebecca Mumford (Richard), and Melinda Crouch (Ronnie); two step-sons, Scott Bloxom (Cindy) and Chris Bloxom; a sister, Rachel Anne Carter; thirteen grandchildren, JR, Anthony, Danny, and Adam Rose, Austin and Alex Ramsey, Brandon, Mandi, and Jackson Mumford, and Brandon, Christopher, Crystal, and Melissa Crouch; and ten great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Caty Rose for the extraordinary care shown to Frances throughout her illness. She would not have made it this far without you.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by Rev. Jack Linkous, Jr.
