Obituary

Florence Pabst Lottinville, 98, passed away in Williamsburg on Oct. 19, 2013, after a brief illness.

Florence was a homemaker who took care of her family by canning vegetables to eat in the winter, making her famous sweet pickles that were second to none, and creating numerous quilts and afghans for her children and grandchildren.

She was a native of Clifton City, MO, and lived in Hampton for 62 years before moving to Williamsburg. She was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Fort Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leonard Lottinville.

Survivors include her 5 children: Jim Lottinville and wife Sharon, Gainesville, FL; Wayne Lottinville and wife Linda Seymour, Eugene, OR; Mark Lottinville and wife Roxanne, Virginia Beach, VA; Patty Kipps and husband John Greenman, Norge, VA: and Sandra Address and husband Marvin, Chevy Chase, MD. Also 6 grandchildren: David Lottinville, Rebecca Murray, Kathy Kahler, Mary Anne Cummins, Dr. Katie Lottinville Schreiber, Alec Lottinville, 6 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several grandchildren by marriage.

The family thanks the staff of Spring Arbor Assisted Living for their tender loving care of our strong and steady matriarch, especially during her final days.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Fort Monroe, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m., with family visitation one hour prior at the church rectory on Frank Lane. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church Building fund, 7 Frank Lane Fort Monroe, VA 23651.
