Floanne Hinton Hicks of Williamsburg passed away February 8, 2025. She was born March 1, 1941 to Pugh and Anna Hinton in Hampton, VA. Floanne earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from MCV and a Master's degree from VCU. She went on to enjoy a long career as a nurse at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and the Hampton VA Medical Center before going to work at Riverside Regional Medical Center and finally Shelton on the Bay. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was compassionate and caring in everything she did. Floanne enjoyed reading and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ray Hinton and Ross Hinton, and her husband of 27 years Edward Lee Hicks.

She is survived by her children Carol Zanini, Richard Hicks (Karen Hicks), Laurie Hicks (Antione Harmon); grandchildren Pablo Lara, Julieta Lara, Julian Hicks, Maxwell Hicks, Gabriel Eaves, and Nicholas Eaves; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Hinton, Hud Hinton (Marian Hinton), Judie Hinton, and Dolly Hinton; as well as many amazing nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 3-5PM.
